Job Description

  • Perform and manage planned activities, such as IT installations, upgrades, local rebuilds and maintenance activities according to agreed goals, defined strategies, budget and overall IT investments. Perform preventive maintenance and routine monitoring to ensure continuous uptime of the onsite IT infrastructure.
  • Take necessary decisions and actions to solve issues, as well as priorities issues according to business needs in close co-operation with the global Single Point of Contact (Helpdesk) in an efficient and professional manner issues and know when and how to escalate it in the support chain.
  • Perform all daily tasks according to set procedures, rules and guidelines and ensure that they are aligned within the organization and secure IT communication towards co-workers on site.
  • Actively participates in local IT experts’ network and lead or participate in projects of the group.
  • Provide technical training for onsite support staff and for new hires, including setting up and introducing technical equipment (e.g., laptops). Act as a Digital Workplace ambassador on site.
  • Responsible for IT security in close co-operation with risk management and information security.
  • Take proactive approach towards possible risks and opportunities in the area of IT and act as a subject matter expert in this field. Monitor the development of IT technologies and system trends and evaluate their possible business benefits.
  • Manage relationships with Inter IKEA IT, vendors, contractors, service providers and other stakeholders regarding support, upgrades, bug reporting, change requests, etc. when needed.
  • At any time, act as an ambassador of Inter IKEA values.

Qualifications

  • Ability to be an IT ambassador in Purchasing & Logistics Area by guiding end users and adapting communication to different situations and persons in a simple and user-friendly way, thereby simplifying perceived complexity and structure of IT.
  • Ability to share information, knowledge and experience with colleagues.
  • Good communication skills that can help to build relationships and networks with people across the Text.
  • Awareness of change effects and the different needs people have in a change process.
  • Ability to priorities and take decisions as well as follow up and communicate progress keeping high professional standards.
  • Independent, Communicative, Supportive and Co-operative.
  • Ability to take own initiatives and support decisions (pro-active).
  • Service oriented, able to implement and follow-up.
  • Ability to prioritize according to Business needs.
  • Strong project management ability.
  • Flexible, but still stick to the framework (IT security).
  • Team player & ability to create networks with other people
