Job Description

We are an innovative and creative organisation. You could say that we are a 70 year old start-up, still going strong, with a lot of ideas of new or improved products. Requirement development is a vital part of the development of our products, with a goal to ensure that all our products are compliant for all markets where IKEA is present. You could say that it´s a challenging task, because it is! And important. To be able to do this we need to capture, analyse and define the requirements. In our organisation we have a team of highly competent Chemical specialists, who are managing the chemical aspects of requirements, and this is where you come in! We are now looking for a new Requirement Manager for the Chemical team. Maybe it´s you?

You will be leading the way forward for your team in an inspiring and engaging way. This includes to build up a good team structure, ways of working and operational follow up, and of course bring out the best of the team with a good coaching leadership. Furthermore, you will be overall responsible for monitoring, interpretation, and the establishment of IKEA chemical related requirements into the IKEA Range. You will be part of an extensive network, both via cooperation with authorities and regulatory organizations, but also via a huge internal network. You will report to IKEA Requirement Engineering Manager and be a part of IKEA Requirement Engineering Management Team, where you will be an important contributor to the strategic and tactical work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience and a genuine interest of leadership on an operational level, as well as an educational background within Chemical Engineering. We would like to see previous experience and knowledge of tactical and strategic leadership. When you can tell yourself that you know about the ways in which legislation and standards are being developed and maintained, and how to implement it in product development, then you know what we are looking for. Because you have been working with this in the past (or maybe still do?).

Furthermore, your have the following skills and experiences:

  •  A determined and proactive approach
  • Abilities to take objective, fact-based decisions
  • Abilities to build relationships and networks
  • Goal orientation and ability to prioritize from a holistic business perspective
  • Both good analytical as well as communicative skills

Experience from consumer product industry is meriting. Your skills in English are very good, both in verbal and in written communication. This role is located in Älmhult, Sweden.
