We develop smart products to enable a smarter life at home for people all over the world. We are curious and passionate about creating solutions that solve real-life problems, helping people realize their dreams, all on their terms because we believe everyone deserves a smart home.  

To succeed, we look for new ways of integrating technology and digital solutions into furniture and life at home. We explore opportunities throughout the home, and we work closely with other Business Areas to both drive transformation of the existing range and develop new smart products to attract new customers to IKEA. The Product Owner is a crucial role in our Smart Sound value stream: working together with global leading audio brands, partners, and suppliers and leading the development of audio products from the concept to the production start,

Furthermore, you are going to: 

• Lead the team in charge of current and future development projects, make sure that all the development projects are carried through and delivered in time 
• Implement the strategic roadmap for technical solutions into the Home furnishing offer. 
• Contribute to the business needs into the development plan to ensure we have a balanced portfolio of initiatives to support our business objectives 
• Facilitate and coordinate the strategic technical discussions with internal and external partners and stakeholders 

We are looking for you who have experience in IoT technological product development, for the B2B/B2C market, as well as from business development. You know how to lead creative processes and build good relations in a trustworthy way.

The ability to explore different perspectives, be innovative, and be comfortable in the unknown is something that you find highly motivating. Furthermore, you have the ability to work with conceptual ideas based on a sense of form and design and you are able to bring these into final solutions. You have experience in portfolio management and you have a good ability to spot opportunities. 

We believe that you have: 

• A university degree in Industrial design, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related subject 
• Knowledge in digital solutions and digital interfaces for consumer products 
• Several years of experience in team leadership and managing budgets 

You have the ability to see things from a customer’s perspective and conceptualize things that don’t exist yet. This means that this is a challenging and rewarding position with an enormous impact on many people around the world.
