Steering & Support in IKEA of Sweden AB hosts several enabling functions such as Finance & Administration, Business Steering, PMO, Product Risk & Compliance, Workplace Operations, Public Affairs and Legal. Steering & Support provides insights to different parts of the range organisation making the right business decisions, and by the services provided connected to our workplace, gives us the right preconditions to thrive and deliver at work.
We are now looking for a Communication Leader to join our Finance & Administration team, but also working together with our PMO (Portfolio management office) in Core business Range. Do you want be part of our fantastic team?
Job Description
As Communication leader you drive an open and sharing climate, you are a role model of the IKEA values with the aim to in the end make our co-workers feel informed, engaged and empowered. You lead and create effective communication securing the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up internal communication to relevant stakeholders. You are the visual, verbal and written communication expert within the two functions, Finance & Administration and PMO.
In this role you will:
- Be a strategic and operational partner to the Finance & Administration and PMO teams to define and enable their communication needs and goals.
- Lead development and implementation of internal communication approaches and manage the internal communication structure and flow for the functions you support.
- Contribute to the implementation of business strategies, priorities and processes through communication.
- Together with function(s) support in change management and create engaging content for internal communication.
- Bring new ideas and innovative ways to reach and engage employees as well as manage communications with key stakeholders.
- Handle and maintain relevant Intranet pages to ensure information is accessible and useful to employees.
- Identify and use contemporary and creative internal communication techniques to ensure engagement with internal communications initiatives.
- Use multiple communication channels to provide clear, timely, meaningful, and targeted communications to internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the communications channels and tools, ensuring content is relevant and up to date.
Qualifications
We believe that you have a proven successful track record in leading internal communication in a global environment. You have an excellent ability to build trust, togetherness, and strong working relationships across a diverse group of people and you comfortably support and influence senior leaders and colleagues.
To be successful in this role you:
- Have a structured way of working and can manage large volume of information with attention to details.
- Enjoy working in fast faced, global environment and with the mix of strategic and tactical thinking and turning communication theory into practice.
- Enjoy empowering others and share your competence so we constantly improve to mentor or coach others in communication creation and delivery.
- Have an extensive knowledge and understanding of working with business and communication planning and execution, and an understanding of how communication supports and increases the impact of a business agenda, always keeping co- workers informed, engaged and empowered.
- Have experience in writing and editing content for multiple channels and tailoring communications for different audiences.
- Motivated to live and share our IKEA culture and values.
- Have hands on experience within internal communications and a good level of creativity to be able to identify and deliver on content successfully.
- Former exposure to financial services and project/portfolio management terminology will be seen as an advantage, although it´s not essential.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills and a demonstrated ability to educate and engage people around the strategic value of communications.
- An innovative, pro-active and creative approach, you are a natural problem solver who is highly collaborative.
- Excellent English in written and verbal is essential.
