We are looking for a Communication leader who is motivated to work with hands on communication and contribute with a curious mindset, always interested to develop and create a bigger impact. The focus will be very much on the product development and engineering agenda, making complex messages understandable and available for the many. Is this for you?

Within this role you will belong to the Range & Engineering development function, an area with many different stakeholders and big communication opportunities. You need to be motivated to develop complex messages to become simple and understandable for the many – still with enough content to ensure stakeholders step by step get onboarded. In alignment with how we work with product development: you explore, test, and learn – to continuously improve ways of working.

You are open minded and including, with the ambition to cooperate across functionally within IKEA Components but also within IKEA Supply and other parts of IKEA. When you face a critical situation, you step up and take the lead and always consider the wider context. You have a high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
As a Communication leader you: 

  • Constantly involve yourself in the current business needs.
  • Identify communication needs and key messages and develop communication plans and content to meet the short- and long-term needs. 
  • Create clear and actionable communication plans and communication briefs with stakeholders to deliver business impact. 
  • Coach and support leaders in communication matters and contribute with relevant content to various internal communication channels and meetings. 
  • Take part of a management team and execute a planned communication together.
  • Contribute and deliver to cross-functional assignments in the IKEA Components and the IKEA Supply communication matrix/common action plan. 

Qualifications

What you preferably have, to be successful in this role:

To be happy and successful in this role we believe you are passionate about communication, but also have an interest, or curiosity, towards the area of product development. We believe you have a knowledge of working with business and communication planning and execution, as well as you are curious to explore and test new and creative ways to develop our communication within product development. We also see that you understand how communication supports and increases the impact of a business agenda.  

We are looking for a visionary and adaptable colleague with the ability to dive into topics and work towards creating simplified messages and securing IKEA tone of voice. You are curious and able to build trustful relationships and networks with stakeholders, business partners and communication colleagues.

You are fluent in English and have strong in skills such as planning and writing key content.
