At IKEA of Sweden (Core Business Range) we are responsible to develop and supply the IKEA product range offer. This is done in the different Home Furnishing Businesses where the Sales team is responsible to secure the preconditions for the IKEA retailers to create a great meeting with the customers. The Learning Developer works in Sales at IKEA of Sweden, where we set the preconditions to maximize the sales and growth opportunities with the offer we have and create the optimal conditions for sales and growth with the new offer we are developing.

As learning developer in the People & Culture team in Sales at IKEA of Sweden you will be a part of creating a great learning environment by supporting the Sales areas of expertise in the development of learning solutions, building a foundation for a great people experience, enabling people to take lead in their own development in an efficient and effective way.

Job Description

The speed of changes in society is increasing, putting higher demands on our ability to develop, re-learn and upskill. Securing easy access to learning opportunities at the fingertips of the learner is key to creating a learning environment, where our co-workers can find learning solutions fit for their needs, on demand. In this role you be developing learning solutions that enable IKEA co-workers to learn more about Sales.

In this role you will work in close co-operation with the competence development area leader and subject matter experts within Sales to develop professional user centric learning solutions according to the learning development process, guidelines and framework. You will ensure that the IKEA values guide the development of learning products which should be recognizable in the learning design, the IKEA identity, the cost/price and the learning products’ ability to last over time.

You will be responsible for leading the work to create the learning solution development according to given scope in agreed time and cost meeting the business needs. You will also be responsible for leading the review process of existing learning solutions and in close collaboration with the content owners ensure that content is kept relevant and up to date.

Qualifications

You have a genuine interest in people’s ability to learn and grow as well as a high belief in that competence development drives business result. You have experience of delivering learning solutions in a global, multiuser environment.

You have the willingness and drive to find common interests and agendas, build trust and create partnerships to reach common goals. You are curious about people's life at home and motivated by creating a great customer experience through competent co-workers. We believe that you enjoy a complex and fast moving environment. To succeed & shine in this role, we wish that you:

  • Have a knowledge and experience of developing learning solutions or other learning development work in a business context.
  • Have a solid understanding of why creating a learning culture in the workplace is important for people to pursue the knowledge they need to grow the business
  • Have a broad insight into development and trends in the field of learning and behaviour change
  • Have a proven indirect leadership and project management capabilities
  • Have an ability to work with a tactical agenda and short term operational tasks
  • Have strong communication skills, together with being structured and well-organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and you are fluent in English

Experience of building digital learning solutions using the Articulate learning development tool is a merit.
