About the job

Being an HR Assistant at IKEA means several things. You will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence in HR processes, working methods, and local legal requirements. In addition, you will collaborate with the HR team to support the organization in various aspects of the HR function.

About the assignment

An HR Assistant will contribute to the development of the business and people agenda. You are responsible for a variety of tasks. Among other things, you:

  • Act as a cultural role model in ways that demonstrate the IKEA values.
  • Support the maintenance of our HR systems (Workday, SmartRecruiter, etc.), with an ability to multi-task in different areas daily.
  • Support in a variety of HR operations that contribute to fostering our office culture with events and activities.
  • Contribute to the positioning of IKEA as an attractive place to work and the preferred employer in the relevant market.
  • Contribute to all areas of HR through projects and collaboration with the HR team and stakeholders in the organization.

Qualifications

About you

You are passionate about People and have a strong belief in individuals’ potential. You are highly organized and motivated to deliver to the human resources agenda through engaging and inspiring co-workers. You have an interest and drive to build partnership to reach common goals.  Additionally, we believe that you:

  • Enjoy process-oriented work and ensuring consistency in all areas of HR.
  • Have an interest in working in a multi-cultural, diverse environment where you will have exposure to all areas of the HR function.
  • Have the ability to support and enable change in a continuously adapting environment.
  • Are experienced working with HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
  • Are experienced working with administrative and/or operational HR processes.
  • Have had some Payroll exposure (plus).
  • Have earned a bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Have strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet various deadlines.
