My name is Ulf and I´m looking for you.

With the Inter IKEA Wood Supply Portfolio we work to strengthen IKEA's position as an affordable home furnishing retailer by securing a strategic share of IKEA future wood fibre needs through own Inter IKEA investments in forestlands, managing the Inter IKEA Wood Supply portfolio optimizing the return of the assets.

As Portfolio Manager for Wood Supply portfolio, you are responsible to build, develop and manage the Inter IKEA Wood Supply Portfolio, including forest acquisition activities and forest management, linked closely to the Supply Strategy and IKEA’s Forest Positive Agenda. 

This you do by developing goals for the Forestry Portfolio, analyses risk & return, and ensure proper allocation of budget to the Forestry Portfolio, as well as within the Forestry Portfolio. Managing the Inter IKEA forestry investment portfolio from Forest Management, Financial Planning, Compliance, Risk Management perspective. 

You will perform analysis (incl. Due Diligence), selection and prioritization of investment opportunities an Identification of new investment opportunities, negotiation and effectively implement acquisition. As well as portfolio performance monitoring (financial and operational); visiting portfolio companies regularly (representation, build relations, identify opportunities for value improvement, identify possible synergies).

Furthermore, you will be:

•    Identifying, evaluating and leading forest management partners
•    Contributing to dialogue and Inter IKEA messaging on forestry
•    Supporting decision making by preparing and presenting investment proposals as business cases and material for the relevant decision forums
•    Leading, coaching and developing a high performing team that will strongly contribute to reach the objectives and goals

You have deep knowledge of the Forestry sector and you come with expertise in the field of forest and/or agricultural investments, including evaluation of companies engaging in forestry/agribusiness having strong ability to analyze a business case from forest to Industry, identifying and navigating risks. 

You know how to balance and merge environmental, social and economic aspects to define sustainable and profitable forest management and the capability to create, develop and anchor business cases. You also have knowledge of risk and financial analysis of various asset classes to be able to contribute building the portfolio efficiency.

You have strong communication skills and strong ability to build strong relationships and to influence and challenge in a constructive way. You have strong coaching skills, self-awareness and ability to unleash potential in others. You have the ability to lead through involving and engaging people and strong negotiation skills.

You have international experience and minimum 5 years of leadership experience of motivating, inspiring and developing a team. You come with Project management experience of leading complex acquisition project, meeting the deadlines. Ideally you have experience with forestry investments
