IKEA Purchasing Services cooperates with furniture and home furnishing manufacturers in Europe and distributes it worldwide. Our task is to find and develop suppliers to produce furniture with perfect design and quality for as many people as possible. There are about 330 of us in Warsaw, a team made of many nationalities.

Job Description

As Business Navigator in Business Navigation and Finance team you will support the navigation of business performance by delivering relevant, accurate and fact-based business analytics at the right time, based on business needs. You will be cooperating closely with Management Team and New Business team which is leading projects with IKEA supply partners in Central Europe.

You will have a high influence in both what to do and how to do it which we believe is a great opportunity for you. You will work closely with project team members and supply partners from different countries.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Be an active business partner by providing analytics for business insights and performance reports,
  • Responsible to monitor, analyze and follow up business performance within the business, across all performance areas and relevant dimensions. Present and share in a way that is understandable and actionable.
  • Contribute to business development and innovation by analyzing business consequences of different scenarios, through scenario planning, modelling, risk assessment and contingency planning.
  • support local teams in data collection and analysis from IKEA supply partners

Qualifications

You have passion for projects and enjoy challenging and dynamic assignments in diverse multi-cultural teams and desire to develop IKEA, to implement business change. You have high energy, drive and commitment to deliver better solutions for IKEA. Moreover, we also believe that you have a combination of the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:

  • Proven strong portfolio and project management methodology with a proven track record
  • Have strong analytical skills and have an ability to show it in a way that is understandable and inspiring
  • Scenario planning on strategic, tactical and operational level is easy to you
  • Ability to communicate in a way that transforms complex business analytics into actionable insights for others.
  • A passion for structure and detail, combined with an ability to see the big picture
  • You are fluent in English, Polish/Czech will be additional asset
  • Excel is no secret for you and PowerBI is your friend
  • Can act with the speed required for this business and be comfortable working in the unknown at times. 
  • You identify strongly with our values, you act as an ambassador for them and enjoy creating an environment where the IKEA values are a living reality.
  • You are flexible and able to travel 20%
  • Financial screening skills would be seen as an additional asset
