To enable our digital business transformation, we are now looking for Digital Project Leaders to join our Digital Business Transformation Team within IKEA Marketing & Communication AB. The IMC Digital Business Transformation team;  

  • Takes the lead in bringing new digital products to users in connected value streams, based on agreed IKEA priorities. 

  • Brings business and digital competences together to ensure togetherness in implementation throughout IKEA. 

  • Leads the process of developing tactical implementation plans and defining a feasible and tangible scope that is connected with business needs and requirements. 

  • Secure that relevant work processes and capabilities are connected to the products to ensure efficient everyday for our users and a sustainable implementation over time.

Job Description

We are looking for you who loves to lead and work with big projects, to complete tasks and deliver results. We believe that you have solid experience in project management, and of digital initiatives preferable, and have been working with this for at least few years. That you can drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers and users gets informed, inspired, and empowered. These two unique and critical roles will contribute to the planning and implementation of the IMC strategic roadmap one behalf of IKEAs digital transformation journey. 

Your assignment will include:  

  • Lead and establish the project scope, brief, budget, process, roles, responsibility, resources, timeline, while ensuring a high quality of the end deliverables  

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with stakeholders across IKEA .Interact and collaborate with various roles across IKEA, like Business areas, franchisees and customers, to understand requirements and make decisions and trade-offs where needed to maximize business results, customer value ensuring needs are fulfilled throughout the project 

  • Lead and inspire the assigned project team before, during and after the project  

  • Lead contract negotiations with consultants and external partners in collaboration with the project team 

  • Provide overall direction and technical, process or analytical guidance to project teams that typically span multiple units and may also include outside suppliers/vendors. 

  • Plan, manage and allocate resources to ensure successful, high quality execution and delivery within defined scope. 

  • Be part of defining our digital strategy and the marketing related technology roadmap to meet our ambitions   

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders as needed on status, risks and accomplishments to ensure alignment with the overall project goals. 

Qualifications

You are passionate about delivering value and being at the edge of technology and digital innovation. You appreciate getting things done and improving how things are done. Your motivation comes from learning and find energy by working both independently and interdependently and cross functions. You are motivated to work agile and being open to the change. 

You have experience within the following areas: 

  • Experience in team leadership and managing large digital transformation projects in complex structures with many stake holders. 

  • A value-based leadership with focus on; create togetherness around your project, simplify complex tasks and always strive to create the good example. 

  • Ability to in a complex environment always have a collaborative mindset and  find the common denominator and common ground to always strive to move forward.  

  • Experience working with agile methodologies and environment and project management frameworks and tools 

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in change management  

  • Good communication and networking skills, being able to interact and form strong partnerships and relationships. 

  • Ability to adapt your communication to different target groups  

  • Excellent communication skills in English: verbal, written, listening, and presenting.
