Are you our next BI Developer?
We are looking for an experienced BI developer to join our business intelligence team!

Having the right information about business performance is key to our success. If you know how to turn raw data into valuable and visual information you may be the one, we are looking for.

You will be part of a global team of approx. 10 co-workers, providing the IKEA Components organization and other stakeholders with correct information about the business performance. Our internal title for this role is Solution Expert BI and, in this role, you will be reporting to the Data & Analytics Manager. The position is in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg three times a day.

Your main responsibilities in the assignment will be: 
•    Develop IKEA Components’ BI solution with an end-to-end perspective both in front- and back-end
•    Drive development and implementation of new data models to provide measurements and KPIs
•    Supports planning of external resources and acts as a coordinator of requirements towards our suppliers
•    Own and develop the physical information model
•    Acts as a requirement owner towards the data integration team
•    Work closely with business analysts and business stakeholders
•    Support change- and incident management

Our current BI platform consists of a centralized data warehouse based on Microsoft SQL products and Infor’s DWD as a modelling tool. We use Microsoft BI (Power BI and SSRS) as a frontend to our report's consumers.
Information modelling is primarily performed in the data warehouse and data is provided to the report developers in data marts or SSAS cubes.
We have started a journey to modernize our data warehouse, and, in your role, you will be an important contributor to that effort.

Part of that assignment could be:
•    Be part of the team that sets the target architecture for a modern, future-proof data warehouse
•    Select components, solutions, and vendors
•    Plan/support the migration from existing to future DWH
•    Co-operate on a wider IKEA level and secure we remain connected 

You love to work together with the business defining and qualifying their requirements. When you know the requirements, you put all your focus into finding ways to produce the needed information. You like to work with data modelling, data warehouse development, testing and implementation. You have experience in working with business intelligence systems and databases.

You need to have very good knowledge and proven experience of the Microsoft BI architecture and platforms. If you have experience in M3 or DWD/BPW it is an advantage. You also have a clear understanding and good experience in information modelling and transforming raw data into valuable and consumable information.

You are familiar with modern DWH solutions, and you have experience with different platforms and vendors. With your experience you can contribute to the design of the new target architecture. You have worked on large projects and can play a major role in the upcoming modernization.

As a person you have strong analytical skills - being able to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You have passion for details combined with the ability to see the big picture.
Since IKEA Components is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world, you need to be fluent in English.
