Job Description

In this role, as Product Owner for Smart Energy value stream in BA IKEA Home smart, you will lead the range and product development work of creating solutions around smart energy and secure improvements on the existing energy range. You will do this while ensuring that the smart energy range builds on the IKEA Home smart ecosystem, delivering a Better Everyday Life to the many people.  

Your focus will be on affordable, easy-to-use products. You will always start from the home furnishing context and the needs of the people.  

You will work together with the different competencies in your value stream, as part of the BA IKEA Home smart range team, cross-organization, and with external key partners.  

Furthermore, you are going to: 

  • Lead the team in charge of current and future development projects, make sure that all the development projects are carried through and delivered in time 
  • Implement the strategic roadmap for technical solutions into the Home furnishing offer. 
  • Contributing to the business needs into the development plan to ensure we have a balanced portfolio of initiatives to support our business objectives 
  • Facilitate and coordinate the strategic technical discussions with internal and external partners and stakeholders 

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience in IoT technological product development, for the B2B/B2C market, as well as from business development. You know how to lead creative processes and build good relations in a trustworthy way.

The ability to explore different perspectives, be innovative, and be comfortable in the unknown is something that you find highly motivating. Furthermore, you have the ability to work with conceptual ideas based on a sense of form and design and you are able to bring these into final solutions. You have experience in portfolio management and you have a good ability to spot opportunities. 

We believe that you have: 

  • A university degree in Industrial design, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related subject 
  • Knowledge in digital solutions and digital interfaces for consumer products 
  • Several years of experience in team leadership and managing budgets 

You have the ability to see things from a customer’s perspective and conceptualize things that don’t exist yet. Additional Information

This role is a temporary assignment for the period of 12 months based in the Älmhult office.
