Right now we are looking for Product Management Developer to be part of a highly committed Product Management team within the Range & Product Management Matrix!

The product range – our identity where Range & Product Management is one of the most important enablers to ensure that we live up to the IKEA vision and securing long term profitability.

Range & Product Development matrix organisation consists of four main areas; Design, Engineering, Innovation and Management. You will belong to the Product Management Team, focusing on strategic development of the IKEA product range and providing specific competencies in product development as well as securing that IKEA range strategy and product offer meet set objectives and goals throughout the entire range and product life cycle to fulfil the commitment of creating a better everyday life for the many people.

About the Job

As a Product Management Developer, you will work with core product information objects, product master data around all our products, as well as with the structural master classifications needed and much more. You will contribute to Product Management agenda throughout IKEA and you will be responsible for making sure that the data we use in the HFB’s connected to our product range, is correct, accurate, complete and reliable. You will also work with frameworks and guidelines around these topics. And, you will be involved in the Building the Core work to create future IKEA success. This encounters structures, product master data, information management, etc. Covering all products in all aspects: physical product, virtual product, packaging, product information, services, digital offer (apps) and fittings/parts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To secure that the data is correct and available in time as we are in the middle of a business and digital change.
  • Management, development and administration of core product information objects.
  • To contribute to the development of the relevant processes, tools, platforms and competencies in connection to the IKEA product offer process and on behalf of the business
  • To provide product management performance related insights to secure compliance and fulfilment to product management objectives and to enable goal setting and tactical decision making
  • To contribute to the development to pre-requisites for IKEA regarding product structures, product architecture and product master data management.
  • To have passions and the capability to “turn the complex into easy to understand for the many”, illustrate and explain the complex things in an easy way.

  • Have a great knowledge, experience and understanding for home furnishings in relation to product management
  • Have a solid knowledge and understanding of the IKEA Value Chain, the product development process, and the prerequisites of the Supply and Retail organizations.
  • Have a good knowledge, interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with all levels of co-workers both internal and with external partners
  • Have knowledge around IKEA IT solutions connected to product structure, product architecture and product master data management
  • Have knowledge around DNS and DNP process, understanding how product development works and what is needed as preconditions
  • To be fluent in English, both spoken and written is a pre-requisite.
