This includes a responsibility for selected components and raw material, which means develop, purchase and supply to IKEA suppliers.
IKEA Components also have the assignment to provide After Sales service of components to the end customers. Job Description
As Supplier Development Leader you work together with the Category Managers and the Business development teams in your area of responsibility to support them in developing and implementing the action plans that have been agreed with the suppliers.
You will lead in close cooperation with the Category Area Management Team. You will lead and support supplier development and develop the value chain. Support business development teams, business developers, category developers to identify and act upon improvement and potentials from value chain analysis. Lead, contribute and/or coordinate supplier development activities such as Lean transformation and supplier development program and develop ways of working with the Supplier Development process within the Category Area.
You will be a member of CA management team. You will report to Category Area Components Manager.
Furthermore, we wish you to:
• Mentor and/or coach business development teams in driving supplier development activities and projects: capture good practices, share knowledge and good practices, facilitate learning activities with coworkers and suppliers.
• Lead in matrix all Business Developers and Category Developers.
• Be an active member of the Global Supplier Development Leaders Matrix in Purchasing Development, leading and/or contributing to global projects and improvement of ways of working and bringing new frameworks, proposals from the matrix team.

Qualifications
We are looking for a business-minded connector who gets energy by developing business through people. We believe that you have senior experience from the field of purchasing, manufacturing and/or process optimization. You have in your current & previous positions proven your ability in leading and developing both business and people in the matrix set-up and have deep knowledge of Supplier Development process and value chain analysis.
You understand the value chain of the supplier base and you know how to drive, motivate business teams to constantly improve. You lead with example and are good at inspiring, coaching, building networks and long-term partnerships. You like challenges and innovative solutions being able to step into the unknown.
You lead the business with an analytical and holistic view, always keeping customer, supplier, and IKEA in mind. You lead with the IKEA values and act as an ambassador and role model for fact-based business leadership.
