We are now looking for a Media Framework Specialist who can, as first point of contact for media support across all franchisees, lead collaboratively and be a trusted partner for the country marketing organisations across IKEA in order to secure coherence and effectiveness within the total media and communication landscape. About IKEA Identity, Range and Marketing Communication team

As one of the Leadership Areas in Core Business Franchise, our team's main assignment is enabling and safeguarding the creation of IKEA unique content that positions one strong and consistent IKEA identity  - wherever our customers meet us​.

The work that we do spans from protecting what is IKEA unique to supporting development and the future approach towards a unique, relevant and commercial IKEA Range and an optimal and relevant IKEA communication content with strong reach through the right media landscape​. The area consists of three main teams (Identity, Range, Marketing Communication) supported by Business Navigation, Communication and People and Culture. This role is part of our Marketing Communication team.

The position

As a Media Framework Specialist, you will contribute to empower and enable the IKEA community of communication and media specialists to build powerful media strategies and campaigns that drive IKEA brand performance and business growth in the short and long term.

Main responsibilities

In order to build a strong, unique, and trustworthy IKEA Brand in all our markets you will support the development and adoption of guidelines and principles for media investments and optimization. In collaboration with the franchisor Marketing team and the franchisee network, you will support the media mix management across the different markets and franchisees and the creation and sharing of best practices and good examples. You will enable competence development through relevant and up to date support packages and community based learning to secure an equal level of knowledge and competence between countries no matter the experience of the retailer.

You will also be the first point of contact for media related market support, secure alignment and coherence within the total media and communication landscape including digital, and you will do this together with the other Franchisee Support roles across Identity, Range and Marketing Communication Area and peers across the organization.

Both your team and your colleagues across the organization will depend on you to work collaboratively and enable synergies as well as to support and empower the franchisees in all markets. The position requires a wide range of responsibilities, so expect a lot of variety in your daily work!

Qualifications

  • You have senior media experience on regional level within a global context, preferably in global or regional brands or global media agencies, including managing media partners at regional/global level. A minimum of 5 years is a must. 
  • You are experienced in developing media strategies and plans, principles and guidelines in a cross-functional, collaborative way and you can explain, present, and create engagement in a clear and simple way in topics that are complex.
  • You are comfortable in your leadership and experienced in leading topics and delivering results through others, with people who can vouch for your skills. Your mindset is inclusive and humanistic, and people will recommend you for leading through trust and being a partner in development. You will need to be organized, motivated and trustworthy to drive an agenda and inspire people to follow your lead.
  • Setting up Media measurement frameworks, framing and developing Econometric modelling is something you have a proven track record on and can share and build on previous lessons learned.
  • You know the digital media landscape and have worked with data management for audience building and Marketing technology that serves the Marketing and media objectives enough as to have a few solid success stories, a few good failures and relevant wisdom that came with that.
  • Your approach is embedding change in everyday life and working in a digital transformation context made you experienced and comfortable to work across digital and non-digital channels in a coherent omni-channel landscape.
  • You have a passion for meaningful media that is shown through how and what you learn on an everyday basis – the future of Media is a favorite topic for you, and you are known for having a lot of grit into turning the present into the desired future.

This role is full-time (40 hours per week) and based in Delft, The Netherlands. This role reports to the Marketing Communication Manager and it will require travel to different retail markets.
