Job Description

Overall responsibility is to support product development for IKEA. To lead, develop, and improve development testing and to support in Chemical Emission/Content competence.

What do you get to do?

  • Represent the capability area in development meetings
  • Be the point of entry, lead, participate and contribute to development projects. 
  • Be active and create an IKEA internal and contribute to planning activities. 
  • Communicate relevant information internally at IKEA Test Lab. 
  • Create internal instructions in order module structure. 
  • Contribute to development of new and updated test methods.
  • Have a good knowledge of calculations of measurement uncertainty. 
  • Perform testing, make assessments, draw conclusions, and validate test data/results. 
  • Contribute to the investment process.  

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a university degree in Chemistry, Analytical chemistry or equal, together with knowledge and practical experience in:

  • GC-MS,
  • LC-MS,
  • LC,
  • FTIR,
  • Extraction methods
  • Spectrophotometric methods (fluorescence, UV)
  • Experience in quality control, calibration of test equipment, analytical method development, validation of test methods
  • Working in projects/project management
  • Good communication skills. Ability to communicate in a pedagogical way to different target groups
  • An open mind and have a positive attitude
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships
