The Innovation function at IKEA Marketing & Communication (IMC) has the purpose to support and evolve the innovation culture within IMC and IKEA. This is a startup of ways of working that you will contribute to establish.  

  • In the Innovation team you will have colleagues in the Digital Lab who´s assignment is to explore and collect knowledge about the future customer meetings, secure patents and influence that open external standards lead to lower costs for IKEA in the future.   • Together the Innovation function connects with all other Innovation Initiatives within IKEA. 

As Innovation Facilitation Leader you will support innovation from the explorative facilitation in workshops all the way to applying for funding. You will lead workshops within IMC and other IKEA companies when requested. The focus of the role is future customer meetings or co-worker interactions using technology. 

Here’s some of what you will do: 

  • Support with facilitation methods to approach complex innovation challenges in projects and business development 
  • Lead workshops to effectively generate great insights and getting suggestions on the table. With informed discussion, assess their potential to meaningfully improve business outcomes 
  • Support with guidance and processes for next steps to allocate fundings from the IKEA Innovation networks and councils. 
  • Secure documentation, information and communication to stakeholders.  
  • Lead knowledge transfer through documentation and facilitation. 

We’re looking for someone experienced in working with and influencing senior business leaders in complex organizations. Someone with a strong ability to think and work differently to others and thus make a difference in all collaborations. 

You’ll need to:  

  • Be highly experienced in using group facilitation methodologies, facilitating large and small teams. 
  • Have good understanding of collaborative methodologies such as Systems Thinking, Design Thinking, Future Search, tools and methods to accelerate innovation workshop outcomes. 
  • Have good understanding within research on creativity in organizations, and know what factors affect people’s creativity, team creativity and innovation effectiveness. 
  • Have good understanding in the area of innovation and technology.
