Hi there, I am Therese, and I’m looking for a Range Engineering Leader to join our fantastic engineering function. You would be joining Business area Kitchen, Bathroom and Home appliances, where a diverse group of fun, down-to-earth, straightforward people with a passion for home furnishing are working.

The BA Range Engineering Leader is a business focused role in the center of IKEAs product development. Your assignment is to lead the planning of innovative engineering solutions for the complete Home Appliances range portfolio, as well as securing that we are delivering to our sustainability agenda.

You do this by utilizing the full potential of our value chain, ensuring that all products deliver to set objectives and goals in connection to strategies and business plans throughout the full product lifecycle. 
To be successful in this role, you are motivated by interpreting strategies & insights and contribute to the BA Range tactics in the Business Plan and plan & secure deployment of innovative solutions, electronic platforms, new technologies and new materials. Planning and allocating engineering resources to the projects.

You will also contributing to Project Scope and brief projects to the development teams as well as a balanced range portfolio. Together with the team, follow up and act on deviations to make our range even better. Being part of a group of committed engineers from all parts of the world.

We believe that you have a University Degree in Engineering or equivalent. You have thorough knowledge and experience in IKEA’s product development and in business development, you understand the full IKEA value chain and how to create preconditions for an efficient development that will reach our goals. You get inspired by enabling that qualitative home appliances ranges are meeting more of the many across IKEA markets. Experience from the Appliances industry is a plus.  

Besides your passion for range & product development, your leadership skills are important to me. I’d like to see that leadership comes natural to you, and you have a proven track record of direct or indirect leadership. You are always guided by the IKEA key values and you have the ability to lead indirectly through coaching and creating strong and trustful networks and relationships together with others. You know how to motivate people and make them perform and deliver towards our common vision. 

Your communication and collaboration skills are important in this role and you enjoy operating on a diverse and global arena. You are openminded for change, welcome different perspectives, are curious innovation and dare to challenge when needed. You have experience in portfolio planning and project scoping, as well as a genuine interest to follow and coach the Development Teams during the product development journey.

Lastly, you have passion for Home appliances and get energy from working with a dedicated team who has the customer in focus.

The BA Range Engineering Leader will work in the Home Appliances Range & Product team and report to the BA Range & Product Engineering Manager. The position will be based in Älmhult with occasional global travelling.
