Category Area Food is one of the most recently established category areas in Purchasing Development, being in a build-up journey to take over purchasing of Food from the retail organization. The objective is to optimize the business model for best quality, low price and availability. The build-up entails a combination of establishing new capabilities along with driving efficiency for a strong business performance with fact-based analysis and planning as a foundation.

Job Description

Category Area Food consists of two Categories; Protein Based and Plant Based. Today we are over 185 colleagues who work globally while being located across Europe, North America, Asia and other regions in order to be close to our supplier partners and we are continuously growing due to expansions and increased scope of our assignment. With more locations, complexity increases, and we need to secure business support and controllership in close alignment with the broader agenda we have in front of us.

As Business Navigator for Category Food, you will perform business analysis to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks, and present insights in an understandable and actionable manner. You should identify current and future business needs and determine relevant information/reporting required to provide needed information.

You will also both support & challenge with relevant insights to get a fact-based picture of the business situation as base for decision and secure data quality of Purchasing’s business information. Produce ad hoc reports based on specific needs. Support the Action plan process and drive Performance and Efficiency agenda in the Category.

You report to the Business Navigation Manager for Category Area Food.

The position is in Älmhult, Sweden, but you will be expected to meet up also in the Malmö office at regular basis. Travelling outside Sweden is limited as most business support is done remotely, while a few travels per year might occur.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should be able to apply business insight, knowledge and leverage best practices to achieve organizational goals and objectives. With you strong communication skills, you influence decisions and create energy and commitment within the organization as well as creating relationships both within and outside of the own organization
You recognize trends and translate them into business opportunities or identified risks and you can handle a constantly changing environment with many different stakeholders and demands. 

We believe that you are a person with lots of energy, drive and are a true team player. You have enthusiasm for business and people and an entrepreneurship thinking while being strong in the fact-based analysis. You are used to both support and challenge the business in a close collaborative partnership. Further you have an end-to-end ownership for the purchasing part as you need to understand the business well to be able to support & challange and steer in the right direction.

So, we of course want you to feel passion for numbers and how these are translated into a communication language that brings attention where needed, often via story telling.

We believe that you have a university degree in Business/Finance/Economics or a related field. You have previous experience in business performance management and financial management with at least 2 years of experience.

Moreover, you have a strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions and multi-task, and the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English.
