The Supply Chain Development Intralogistics area is responsible to establish, lead, support and develop logistics solutions for the various IKEA units that have a logistical and/or fulfilment component, including the development and innovation agenda of intralogistics at IKEA global. In practical terms, Intralogistics shall lead and educate in creating concepts, processes and solutions for IKEA Handling and Storage as well as to act as center of expertise for all establishments of logistics units around the globe.

The organization is in strong lead towards a more mechanical and automated goods handling. 

We are now looking for a Team Manager who will lead our amazing Automation & Design Team!
 

Job Description

As a manager you lead and develop one of the teams in the department and ensure right pre-requisites needed for the execution of the team’s tasks in automation and overall design of Intralogistics units, including a quality gate process for deliverables. You are also responsible for driving leadership and competence agenda for the team and to enable a change culture by leading in the unknown and being an ambassador for change.

You are responsible to secure strategic directions for automation and design within intralogistics. You lead by example and focus on coaching and motivating leaders and co-workers. You drive the leadership- and competence agenda for your team: Identify needs and gaps, and build leadership and competence plans to meet the short- and long-term business needs and secure a transparent and sustainable information/communication flow throughout Intralogistics, department and to stakeholders.

Regular international travels (~20% of worktime) are included in this position, meeting the team out in reality, and the team reporting to you can be located on different Intralogistics locations and in different time zones.

Qualifications

As a person, you have a strong passion to guide automation & design into the future, having a strong drive in the field of logistics, digitalization, and automation. You have leadership skills to lead business and people in a global assignment. You have the drive to develop your team, co-workers, and yourself to deliver excellent results. 

You strive to obtain a good collaboration and interaction with a big number of various stakeholders in various IKEA units and externally with the Intralogistics suppliers and development partners. Moreover, you have a desire to find new ways and make them happen through engaging and motivating people.

Furthermore, we also see that you have 3-5 years of leadership experience, preferably gained in an IKEA supply chain related function, and based on the IKEA key values. You combine passion for people with experience in Intralogistics, automation and design paired with business analytical skills in complex scenarios. Understanding and or experience working with warehouse management systems and warehouse and material flow control solutions.

Fluent in English both written and verbal, with good digital tool capabilities.
