Job Description

In this assignment you will be a part of the Range Design team where your main task is to lead the exploration and implementation of strategic and tactical movements and frameworks, that will further strengthen the complete IKEA range profile and serve as the collective point of entry for mid-, and long-term range plans. You will do this in close collaboration with partners and stakeholders across the IKEA value chain.

You will play a key role in; Strengthening IKEA`s collective ability to continually stretch and evolve the complete product range offer - our identity. In the integration of, consumer, user and life at home experience as a natural part of the range planning process, and in the Identification and implementation of important long-term enablers that will support the creation of a more desirable, relevant, and affordable range offer with a strong IKEA identity.

As a considerable part of this assignment, you will lead and facilitate the exploration, identification and implementation of tools, methods, and ways of working with strategic and tactical range planning across businesses. (One IKEA range plan) in close collaboration with the range and product design manager community with the ambition to;

  • Create a long term range direction
  • Have one voice towards the full IKEA value chain
  • Create synergies and lead a stronger range offer with IKEA identity into the future
  • Clear and aligned input to HFB portfolio planning
  • Optimize the experience of Range development to benefit the impact

To make a difference in this assignment you probably hold senior competence within range design, design management or strategic design, within or outside IKEA. You are inspired by the IKEA vision and Identity, and passionate about bringing that inspiration and competence to others.

You are energized by turning insights into action on a range level, and hold the ability to create clarity, alignment, and commitment across borders to reach common objectives. A self-driven and positive leader with a strong “can do” attitude.

This position is placed In Älmhult, Sweden.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role the following prerequisites are important.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence, inspire, coach, mentor and empower people
  • Strong ability to turn insights into action on a range level
  • Strong analytic and strategic skills
  • Ability to lead in a complex environment and across functions and organisations.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Range and Product design and the IKEA identity
  • Passionate about creating clarity and finding structures
