Maintenance & Logistics is a part of Workplace Operations which is an exciting internal function within IKEA of Sweden. As a Maintenance & Logistics Team manager, you are an important player for making things run smoothly.

Job Description

You inspire, lead and develop the team to secure that the assignments are done in time, to agreed quality and to lowest possible cost. You will lead the staff planning on daily basis, so we use our capacity where it is needed at a specific time and place. Develop and implement new working processes, routines and systems within both logistics and maintenance.

You will also be responsible for the achievement of the goals and support co-workers with their development, so they have the right knowledge and competence for the different tasks within Maintenance & Logistics.  

Furthermore, you will provide information about plans and results to co-workers and explain their overall importance. Actively work with Quality Management System and Continuous Improvements and be part of the development of our systems and new ways of working to increase our efficiency, 

.all with a smile in order to improve the customer experience! 

Qualifications

To shine and be successful in this role you need to have passion for people's everyday life at work. We wish that you have a proven experience in leading business, processes, and people. Deep knowledge and experience from working with logistical flows and/or production planning.  

You are always guided by the IKEA key values. You can lead through communication and creating strong and trustful networks and relationships in collaborative processes. You know how to motivate people and make them perform and deliver towards set goals and on time.

You have deep knowledge from coordinating and working with staff planning. Maybe you have a few years’ experience from the temporary work agency sector as a staff planner and are used to schedule the workweek and the temporary staff. 

You are passionate about doing the best for the business to actively work for cost efficiency, high quality and efficiency. You are structured, methodological and have ability to understand team dynamics and relationships. You have ability to think strategic, tactical and operational. You enjoy leading by example and develop both business and people. 

You have strong understanding about change management, including how to tailor communication effectively to create awareness, engagement and impact. 

You have good computer skills with excellent knowledge in MS Office and we like you to be fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken. Important to us is of course, that you share all our values.

This is a permanent position located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
