Company Description
Customs Europe and Africa (Customs EA) in Älmhult, Sweden consists of 44 co-workers. Our assignment is to secure a well-functioning import and/or export process for more than 30 countries in the region. We give daily support and coordination in customs related topics within legal matters, goods flow and IT-knowledge to secure availability, affordability and ensure compliance.
Job Description
The Compliance Specialist ensures the efficiency and compliance of the import and export activities in their regional and for the countries assigned to their region.
- In conjunction with the CTC Manager, establish and maintain Compliance procedures and working methods associated with areas of responsibility
- Build strategic relationships with internal and external business partners, including Customs or other Government agencies
- Work with Finance, Accounting, Transport and Purchasing partners on compliance issues
- Maintain regulatory knowledge and analysis skills as business, regulations or systems change to meet the business needs
- Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned

- Comfortable with working and navigating in digital IT solutions
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
We believe that you have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Customs Import/Export regulations and compliance management
- Experience and knowledge of Change Management
- Good listening skills and strong ability to document and communicate in a clear way
- Ability to build efficiencies and compliance into operations while meeting the business needs
- Previous experience in working with external authorities
