We have started the work to set up the technical services needed to support an IT landscape that will be developed and operated in a hybrid cloud model. The technical services we deliver will enable the IT landscape to transform and take leverage on cloud computing services. We will contribute to IKEA direction by making it possible for any service 'XaaS' to be translated into an affordable, accessible and sustainable product.

As a SME, you bring all your knowledge and experience to guide IKEA in the field of software and platform development in a role at the center of our digital transformation. You will be part of the establishment of the capability and organization as such.

The main areas of responsibility will be creation of a shared software platforms and corresponding organizational and cultural changes needed to help the platforms become sustainable through usage across functions including business development, enterprise architecture, strategy within Inter IKEA Group and it’s platform service consumers.

You also using your seniority and experience to guide our engineers in hands on software development and architecture.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•    Contribute to our strategies and business plan
•    Technology leadership, mentor, and contributor to an evolving platform team
•    Translating business strategy into technical strategy and defines end-to-end technology architectures that support the strategy.
•    Secure preconditions for efficient software development and deployment of plans and strategies
As a SME you will lead:
•    Alignment of working methods, tools and frameworks across teams 
•    Identify and bridge gaps in working methods and system solutions with a cross- functional perspective
•    Contribution to a knowledge-based development

We believe that you have a University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. You have a proven strategic thought leadership with the ability translate it to actionable projects that inspires our software development teams to deliver above and beyond and you understand the full IKEA value chain and how to create preconditions for an efficient development that will reach our targets. 

You have a strong drive to make things happen and lead complex matters in a global context with energy and curiosity. Leadership comes natural to you, and you have a proven track record of leading, coaching and developing technology and engineering organizations.

You are always guided by the IKEA key values you have the ability to lead through communication and create strong and trustful networks and relationships in collaborative processes.

Furthermore you:
•    Know how to motivate people and make them perform and deliver towards set goals and on time
•    Have an interest and ability to coach team members during the development journey and get inspired by improving ways of working
•    Understand the importance of communication, and enjoy operating on a global arena 
•    Have the ability to explore different perspectives, welcome innovation and dare to challenge when needed
