We have started work to set up the technical services needed to support an IT landscape that will be developed and operated in a hybrid cloud model (Public and Private). Job Description

In this position, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert for Observability, and you’ll bring all of your knowledge and experience to guide IKEA in the field of Monitoring/Observability, in a role that’s central to our digital transformation, and play a major role in the establishment and organisation of this discipline. The main areas of focus will include;

  • Identifying and managing the life cycle of the service offerings, platforms and products.
  • Understanding, articulating and implementing best practices related to Central Logging and Monitoring.
  • Being an advisor for areas within the IT Infrastructure landscape - preferably with experience in a large organisation, so you understand the complexities and implications of decisions across the whole company. 
  • Providing expert knowledge on current market and tech trends within the international IT marketplace.
  • Producing roadmaps for the centralised Monitoring area across the entire Inter IKEA Group.
  • Leading and managing initiatives within the Monitoring area, resulting in new or updated product portfolio/service offerings to be used by the wider Inter IKEA Business.
  • Owning the relationships with IT Vendors for current portfolio and offerings, as well as identifying new opportunities.
  • Establishing a common monitoring services for both applications, and infrastructure services to be deployed in the public cloud.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have experience in;

  • Strategic thinking - Able to identify a vision along with plans that need to be implemented to meet the end goals. Constantly evaluating situations, decisions and issues in the short, medium and long term.
