We at Data Distribution & Integration team are responsible for all data exchange both inside the IKEA franchisor IT landscape and to franchisees IT landscapes, enabling a structured exchange of data across the whole IKEA value chain.

As Software Engineer for integrations inside and across different IT landscapes including several of the below points depending on the work area, your main responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the development of high-quality code from HLD, create LLD, test and deployments
• Develop data integrations using Kafka, Microservices/API, cloud knowledge, Java, Java spring Boot, CI/CD development, Oracle SQL or similar
• good to have ODI, SOA and MFT experience, but not mandatory
• working in agile, DevOps teams across the capability areas, contributing to the development and maintenance of integrations and solutions
• applying and adhere to defined Integration development practices (e.g., CI/CD, automated tests, pair programming, code reviews)
• providing support and guidance as needed to other developers within the development team encouraging good practices
• working closely with solution architects together with other software engineers and cross functions to produce all required design specifications and ensure that data integrations work together and fulfil business needs
• Coach and mentor software trainees and junior development team members

To be successful in this role you need to have knowledge and/or several years of experience in several of the following areas:

• Several years of integration development experience using various technologies in a complex IT landscape
• Solid hands-on development experience in Integration technology platforms such Kafka, Microservices / API, cloud integrations, Java, CI/CD development, or similar is seen as an advantage
• Have knowledge and experience of working in and with a software development team
• Have solid knowledge and experience in key aspects of IT software development process, including integration across solutions and IT landscapes
• Good to have knowledge about architectural frameworks and integration design patterns
• Have knowledge and experience in working in agile DevOps and Scrum approaches
• Have a genuine interest in technology & people and a strong ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
• Good to have experience in tools such as GitHub, Docker, SoapUI, JIRA etc.
• Be curious, eager to find better ways and committed to remove manual work whenever possible
• Good to have relevant formal education and /or certifications to support your knowledge
