To further develop our capabilities, we're looking for a Test Engineer who would like to share their passions and inspiration within our Backend Cloud Team.

You must have

• Deep understanding of REST API tests and tools, both for manual and automated testing.
• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, and Postman APIs.
• Hands-on experience of Open API Specification.
• Strong communication skills and an open mind.
• A passion to share knowledge with, and learn from, the team, as well as the wider organisation.
• Strong understanding of non-functional aspects of cloud-based backend technology.
• Core programming skills in Python or Node.js.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.

It will be a big plus if you have:

• Experience in Dynamic Test Generation based on Open API Specification, ReadyAPI Platform and similar.
• Experience with serverless architecture.
• Experience in testing cloud-based backends being deployed on multiple sites, across multiple regions.

You will be responsible for: 

• Leading the analysis and test planning of the sprints of the Core Backend/Cloud team.
• Performing functional and non-functional REST API tests.
• Having continuous discussions with developers during the sprints to take decisions on what is important to test.
• Developing and maintaining a lightweight REST API test framework for automated testing.
• Making decisions on what level of automated API tests are needed and implement them.
• Participating in meetings and collaborate with others regarding the quality of our systems.
• Keeping an eye on the cloud-native world and what is new and upcoming in the market.
