Job Description

The Sales Leader position is a business focused role in the center of IKEAs product development. You will be part of the Range & Product team and you will be responsible for leading the sales components into the planning of the HFB 5 Beds & mattresses range portfolio to secure a relevant and commercial offer and the preconditions for a successful meeting between the home furnishing and the customer in all touch points. You will also be responsible for leading the creation of the HFB 5 Beds & mattresses, Tactical & Operational Sales plan including goals and movements, price and volume.
Your assignment will also include:

  • Give input to resource planning for Sales specialist in the development teams
  • Secure that range principles are reflecting the market relevancy and growth plan contributing to create Range principles & Portfolio
  • Be responsible for expansion input to the Range portfolio and tactical Sales plan (new countries, new franchisees, new touch points etc.)
  • Be responsible for all sales components of the Project brief (scopes) including cost to serve implication (services, packaging, assembly...)
  • Be responsible for securing market & competitive insights are incorporated into the Range portfolio and project scopes
  • Manage and support the Meeting the Customer specialists in the development

This role reports to the BA Sales Manage

Qualifications

We believe that you as a person have an excellent capability to define a business focus, lead business and people together cross organisation and you as a networker are able to build strong and trustful relationships across the organisation. You bring a good understanding and practical use of strategic and tactical thinking, and the holistic ability to turn strategies into the plans. You manage and achieve results in a position with a high level of complexity and with an ability to set prioritisation for self and others.
To be successful in the role we would like you to have:

  • High knowledge in business plan process, strategic landscape and IKEA ways of working within Sales
  • High knowledge in the market and competitor landscape of the HFB that you are accountable for
  • Good knowledge of sales Competence Areas and who does what in the sales process including of the retail   environment
  • Basic knowledge in how attract the consumer through marketing and communication efforts
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is the prerequisite
