IKEA Purchasing Services cooperates with furniture and home furnishing manufacturers in Europe and distributes it worldwide. Our task is to find and develop suppliers to produce furniture with perfect design and quality for as many people as possible. There are about 330 of us in Warsaw, a team made of many  nationalities.

The Quality Specialist leads projects and support business teams in extra ordinary situations to secure products are delivered with right performance. Train and verify compliance to ways of working according to purchasing manual and contribute in developing and improving working methods in the engineering/quality field.

About you

• You have experience from quality management in a production environment
• You have lead projects with a six sigma/lean approach
• You have the ability to deliver results through involving, leading and inspiring people
• You can communicate in an inspiring and simple way to engage co-workers, business teams and suppliers
• You have knowledge about relevant quality standards, production technologies and materials
• You speak fluent in English, both spoken and written
• You have driving license
• And if You have knowledge about micro bacteriology it will be a plus.

About the job

• You will lead projects with support from business development team in case of quality deviations to support problem identification, including root cause analysis, and come to resolution
• You will lead advanced and specific global/local projects related to quality
• You implement and contribute to development of common working methods and tools
• You support introduction and development of business development team members
• You secure four eyes principals and leading gate check before first delivery
• You build trust and partnership to reach common goals
• You will lead quality standards audits

The job requires travelling about 50% of working time.
