About the assignment

Our assignment within IKEA Expansion is to enable establishment of new customer meeting points. The assignment consists of three parts:

  • Manage and provide a menu of physical and digital customer meeting points
  • Develop, test and provide principles and solutions in the field of design and architecture.
  • Secure consistency of the IKEA Brand and enable successful implementation by providing relevant design services in establishments and rebuilds of Customer Meeting points

We cooperate with our IKEA franchisees in 53 countries all over the world. We work in a multicultural environment.

We are now looking for a dimensioning specialist for one year, temporary assignment.

Job description

As a Dimensioning specialist within Customer Meeting Point department, you will support our IKEA retailers with defining the optimal sizes of physical spaces in our new customer meeting points that need to be rebuilt.

Your main task is to review input and support with knowledge and experience so the IKEA retailer can take conscious decisions in questions that have an impact on the design of the IKEA customer meeting point.

This is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge and gain experience of expansion, customer meeting points, dimensioning and the CMP design process.


You are a down-to-earth team player who is driven by togetherness, simplicity and common sense and eager to take initiatives and achieve results together with others. Not afraid to try new things and develop new skills and areas as we go along.

We believe that you have a combination of the following knowledge, capabilities and background:

  • Recent knowledge and experience in any IKEA trademark companies, preferable supply and retail.
  • Preferable experience from IKEA store operation.
  • Understanding of how different parameters impact the performance and design of Customer meeting points
  • Profound knowledge of excel
  • Great capability to analyse, draw conclusions and act on them.
  • Capability to build and engage trustful and sustainable relationships with stakeholders, business partners and franchisees.
  • Interest in the IKEA business in general and specifically interest in Customer Meeting Points and how to maximise customer experience and sales with as low cost as possible.
