Job Description
We have an exciting journey ahead of us in BA Food. One important step on our change journey is to strengthen the IKEA Food supply chain and as Supply Chain Manager you will be working in a fast paced and inspiring environment, based on creativity and innovation, which gives you the opportunity to work and interact with people from all around the world in and outside of IKEA.
As Supply Chain Manager you develop and optimise the Food value chain to make better products at lower total costs for the many people and to establish & develop high performing and diverse supply chain team. This means taking overall responsibility for all Supply Chain activities.
You have the main responsibility to secure availability at lowest total cost for all products within the Business Area through planning, monitoring and balancing sales and supply on a strategic and tactical level. One of your main tasks will be to establish new ways of working with both forecasting and plan/balance sales and supply. Furthermore you take responsibility for all sourcing activities connected product development and for establishing the sourcing assignment with the category area Food.
You report to the Business Area Manager and are part of the management team.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who would like to be part of establishing supply chain management from all dimensions for BA Food as this position will be new. We have so many possibilities to support growth going forward.
We believe that you have several years of broad Supply Chain experience, preferably from IKEA other SCM role, together with great knowledge and passion of leading people and business on a global arena. You are a value driven leader who are known to let people grow. You coach, motivate and drive others by setting a clear direction and communicate in a transparent way.
Your problem-solving skills and your ability to combine working on a strategic level while acting on an operational/tactical level will be put to the test. As well as your ability to look beyond and the ability to lead business with a holistic view always with the customer, supplier, total IKEA and total cost development in mind. You are capable of building trust and relationships, in order to create preconditions for building long-term business partnerships – as it will be a key asset. You have been creating and implementing long-term strategic plans in the supply chain area and are used to provide a clear direction and following up goals. You are result oriented, have a lot of energy and the desire to constantly find new ways to develop yourself and your team. You are able to make things happen through others!
