Job Description

We are now looking for a Range and product design leader to co-lead the transformation and implementation of a new range building approach for IKEA into the development of the entire IKEA product range offer – our Identity.

In this assignment you will be a part of the Range Design team where your main task is to Identify, develop and manage a portfolio of range building models, tools and methods that will serve as the foundation of knowledge and competence for the IKEA home furnishing businesses to consistently build a complete IKEA range offer that delivers to the IKEA concept and directions. You will do this in close collaboration with relevant partners and competencies across IKEA organizations,

As a considerable part of this assignment, you will represent Range and Product design in a cross functional project team initiated by Core Business Range, where you will co-lead the transformation and implementation of the new range dimensioning program (define the how) into range and product development, with the ambition for IKEA to successfully be able to build a relevant, commercial and IKEA unique range offer in every country, customer meeting point and fulfilment flow.

To make a difference in this assignment you hold senior competence within range and product development or equivalent assignments within IKEA. You are inspired by the IKEA vision and Brand identity and passionate about bringing that inspiration and competence to others.

This position is placed In Älmhult, Sweden.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role the following prerequisites are important.  

  •  Strong knowledge and understanding of range design building and the IKEA concept.
  • Strong analytic and strategic skills
  • Passionate about creating clarity and finding structures
  • Ability to lead in a complex environment and across functions and organisations.
  • Ability to communicate and visualise concepts and ideas.
  • Ability to manage and work through digital range design and development tools (DRD)
