Business Steering provides IKEA Core business range with a framework for balanced business performance management with the purpose of supporting the business with insights for fact-based decision making and actions.

The unit is in the lead of developing business navigation and analytics capabilities that is catering to the business needs, and works to develop analytical methods, reports and tools to spot business opportunities, early warnings and risks. By being close to business stakeholders providing business performance expertise, business steering enables navigation towards commonly agreed business goals.


Right now, we are looking for a Business Navigation Manager

You will, as part of the leadership team, lead co-workers in the Business Steering unit specifically focused on navigation and analytics of range, sustainability and quality parameters.

You will report to the Business Performance Manager, which we recruit simultaneously as this position. 

Job Description

You will lead a small team and through your leadership you are responsible to ensure development on an individual level as well as on a team level to ensure effective and efficient assignment delivery. 

Together with other leaders in Business steering, and the combined teams, you are responsible for developing, implementing and delivering business performance management capabilities for Core business range, specifically in the areas of Range, Sustainability and Quality. You work in close collaboration with business partners in both functional and business teams.

You represent Business steering and present business performance insights to business stakeholders across Core business range and the IKEA network, with the purpose of enabling goal fulfillment and business actions. 

Specifics of your assignment include, but are not limited to (and always in collaboration with business in Core business range and the IKEA network):

•    Strengthen business steering/navigation and analytics capabilities by providing team leadership, and contribute to a balanced, end-to-end perspective of performance management
•    Strengthen navigation and analytics capabilities by leading development of analytical approaches, in collaboration with internal and external partners as needed to reach excellence.
•    Lead consolidation and balanced performance reporting, for the totality of Business steering and specifically within the areas of Range, Sustainability and Quality
•    Actively engage and build trustful relationships with business partners across Core business range and across the IKEA network, in order to provide business insights and fact-based decision support 

Qualifications

You have a never-ending curiosity for finding business opportunities, insights and learnings and a passion for using knowledge to drive the business development and optimize performance. With wide experience and knowledge of the IKEA strategic landscape, IKEA Business plan and process landscape, and a strong motivation to share your knowledge and insights, you are able to develop both business and people.

To be successful in this role you need to be strategic and have the ability to see the big picture at the same time as you have the ability to deep dive into the important details.

 Furthermore, you have/are;
•    A natural affinity for, and experience of leading people, performance-management/navigation assignments
•    Extensive experience of working with cross-functional tasks/projects in a global environment; deep IKEA experience within and beyond IKEA Core business range is welcome
•    Methodical and structured with a data-driven approach, combined with strong people leadership skills to comfortably engage with audiences across organizational boundaries
•    Ability to communicate in a clear, effective and inspiring way, gaining commitment from others and leading to action
•    Ability to motivate and steer co-workers in close collaboration, also in areas without formal ownership of resources or outcomes
