Job Description

About the assignment 

Our assignment  within IKEA Expansion is to enable establishment of new customer meeting points. The assignment consists of three parts: 

 

  • Manage and provide a menu of physical and digital customer meeting points. 
  • Develop, test and provide principles and solutions in the field of design and architecture.  
  • Secure consistency of the IKEA Brand and enable successful implementation by providing relevant design services in establishments and rebuilds of Customer Meeting points. 

 About the role

As Establishment Offer Leader you will:

  • Lead and work closely together with peers across the totality of Core Business Franchise and across IKEA to strengthen and contribute to a strong and relevant IKEA franchise offer.
  • Secure a continuously updated establishment offer, including the Establishment process and supporting content, applicable for physical Customer Meeting Points (CMPs).
  • Ensure that the Establishment offer is relevant easy to navigate, understandable and is optimized for the user experience.
  • Identify the content that will support retail establishment teams in delivering their tasks.
  • Develop plans to create content for the establishment process.
  • Lead the CMP Design Process, the development and continuous update.
  • Lead and collaborate with resources from across IKEA organisations.
  • Create a Core Business Franchise governance structure to ensure that the content connected to the establishment offer remains relevant and up to date.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous update of the franchise offer for establishment.
  • Follow up the use of the establishment process and its contribution to the effectiveness and efficiency of establishment projects in the markets.
  • Collect latest insights to continuously develop and update the franchise offer for establishment. 

About you

  • knowledge of the IKEA Range Strategy, the IKEA Concept, the IKEA vision and business idea, IKEA culture & values, the IKEA business model and how we create unique business advantages.
  • knowledge about IKEA Customer meeting points.
  • knowledge about expansion/establishment process.
  • Knowledge of concept review, retail approval and CMP Design Process.
  • Senior leadership with the ability to make complex tasks and processes understood and actionable
  • Have the capability to analyse, draw conclusions and act on them with a holistic business understanding and systemic approach.
  • Ability to facilitate others, enabling continuous and relevant development. 
  • Capability to navigate and lead in a complex, unknown and fast-changing environment. This is valid capability to build and engage in trustful and sustainable relationships with stakeholders, business partners and IKEA franchisees.
  •  A University degree or similar and/or a minimum 5 years of experience from an international environment with leadership responsibility in a matrix organization.
  • Understanding and experience of IKEA business throughout the value chain, and the prerequisites for business success.
  • Previous project leading experience and experience of steering several parallel projects as experience from leading and managing leaders/co-workers across functions and organizations.
