IKEA has an ambition to inspire and enable more than 1 billion people to live a better everyday life within the limits of the planet.
We want to offer affordable and accessible solutions for healthy and sustainable living through our home furnishing offer, knowledge and ideas meeting all customer touch points.
We are always looking for new innovations to meet our customer needs, in this case, we are looking for new-made cellulose fiber developments that have the potential to become a material we can use to meet the many people’s needs when it comes to Textile furnishing of the future.
As a company we are on a journey to become fully circular by 2030, to only use renewable and recycled materials. To ensure we stay true to our plans we understand the importance of involving many different competencies in making our roadmaps become a success.
We are looking for a curious student that knows textiles and would like to map the Made cellulose textile fiber innovation arena and by this mapping (desktop study) conclude a summary presenting projects in different stages of innovation where you believe IKEA should get involved to make a difference.
This is a desk top study where the majority of the thesis will be made remotely. Where possible we bring students to IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult to meet and experience the head office – this will be subject to travel and meet recommendations.
