At IKEA of Sweden, we develop and make the IKEA range available to stores and customers all over the world. Within the responsibilities of IKEA of Sweden lies the development, sourcing, supply and steering of a unique, competitive and efficient range.
Do you want to support us and improve how we secure the lowest cost for our products?

We are currently looking into the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process for the sourcing of Products at IKEA. The outcome of this project would be a tender framework that describes the sourcing steps that would enable Purchase development to secure a more consistent, professional, and objective approach to different types of RFQ. 

We want to document and exemplify the steps of the IKEA RFQ process, securing a RACI cross organization for the different steps, linking to digital support tools and how they would enable a better result. 

Your role would be to bring outside in perspective, identify the gaps in the process and secure that we address the potential identified gaps in the process. 

We are looking for a pair of students located in Sweden, fluent in English and who is majoring in the areas of Supply Chain, Sourcing, Industrial economics, or similar, which is relevant for the assignment. 

This is for a 20-week Masters thesis.
This project can be done remotely. Face to face meetings can be arranged based on the need in Sweden.
