Due to a parental leave we are now looking for a Finance Operations Manager, according to agreement but preferably start date the 2021-11-01 to 2023-01-31 to our Accounting department. The accounting department at IKEA of Sweden manage the Accounting and the Accounts Payable for a number of Swedish subsidiaries within the Inter IKEA group. We have also a team to support co-workers with their travel and Expense Claims for a number of subsidiaries within 9 countries.

As a Finance Operations Manager you will be part of the accounting team and your assignment is to support the business by leading the Accounts Payable- and the Expense Claims team, in total 13-15 co-workers, towards a high performance culture. Your main focus areas will be to lead your team towards agreed and monitored goals and KPI’s, accounting compliance and to improve the efficiency and quality in the related processes. You will report to the Accounting Manager at IKEA of Sweden AB.

Job Description

As a Finance Operations Manager you work close to your team members and other stakeholders and your main tasks and responsibilities are;

  • Lead and develop your team, Accounts Payable Specialists and Expense Claim Specialists, towards a high performance culture
  • Manage workload and prioritizations in the teams on a daily basis and ensure that the team members acquire the right competences
  • Responsible for that transactions are recorded and processed correctly and are compliant to accounting, tax and VAT legislation, group guidelines and rules
  • Develop and monitor goals and KPI' for your team, Accounts Payable Specialists and Expense Claims Specialists
  • Constantly work with continues improvements to increase quality, automation and efficiency in processes and systems
  • Perform analyzes on invoices, claims and processes to increase the business understanding and to minimize the cost and risk for the business
  • Be responsible for leading and supporting business projects that will increase quality, automation and efficiency within the business

Qualifications

We believe that you are very interested in leading and developing people and that you have excellent understanding of financial systems and processes. You have a Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration and/or several years of equivalent working experience.
To be successful in this role you need to

  • Have excellent leadership skills to lead and make people grow
  • Have a strong business understanding and excellent understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Be curious and open to new ways of working and strive to improve processes
  • Have a good eye for details, but at the same time the full overview of a process
  • Be used to perform analyzes of data and processes to setup challenging goals and KPI’s for the team
  • Be fluent in both English and Swedish, reading, writing, speaking, since the team language will be English within the Expense Claims Specialist team and Swedish within the Accounts Payable Specialist team.
  • Have very good knowledge in Microsoft Excel

As a person you are positive, a good team player and have very good communication skills.
Previous experience of working in Alusta Basware (Accounts Payable system) and/or SAP Concur (Expense Claim system), perhaps in a shared service center, is an advantage.
