Job Description

As part of the People & Culture Core Business Range management the Communication Leader has responsibility to secure purposeful communication, internally and externally, connected to the People & Culture assignment. In the role you lead the communication process of planning, creating, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders.

Furthermore you will:

  • Be responsible to lead, develop and execute the People & Culture Communication plan, to position and deliver the People & Culture assignment within IKEA Core Range and throughout the IKEA Network
  • Lead the internal communication calendar and manage the communication structure and flow within the People & Culture
  • Lead the tactical internal and corporate communication to support the business and people agenda
  • Plan, create and execute communication content from People & Culture designed to inform, inspire and engage
  • Develop the communication competence in the and enable others to lead with communication and represent IKEA
  • Contribute to strengthen and position the IKEA brand among co-workers and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

We want you to have experience and knowledge within the communication area. You should have extensive knowledge of how to lead with communication by defining, planning, executing and follow-up communication to relevant stakeholders. Further, you should have solid knowledge of how to segment stakeholders and strengthen key messages to support different needs and situations.

As a person, you are flexible and get energized by working both independently and in partnership, you appreciate the mix of strategic thinking and turning communication into practice. You easily build trust and strong working relationships across a wide diversity of people. You have high integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a responsible way. You are able to influence others on all levels in the organisation. Moreover, you have a desire to find new, simpler ways and make them happen by inspiring and motivating people.
You have a strong drive and you are self-motivated. Strong leadership capability with holistic approach and the ability to work together with people across all parts of IKEA.
We also want you to have:

  • Good understanding of IKEA of Sweden
  • Good understanding of the IKEA identity, core values and vision to secure the right representation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills based on IKEA culture and values
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
