Business Area Children and Lighting is having ambitious plans to continue developing and securing our top position. We are now looking for a Product Lifecycle Engineer.

Job Description

As a Product Lifecycle Engineer:

  • Secure that the product documentation with improvements of the running range.
  • Contribute to secure that our products are legally compliant in all markets throughout product lifecycle.
  • Support in activities connected to new IKEA markets as well as planned and un-planned activities like changes in marking of the product, certificate renewals. 
  • Work closely with the engineers in the product development teams as well as to have a close dialogue with the purchasing organization, suppliers, and third-party test laboratories to secure for the successful product- implementation.
  • Working with several teams and product areas in parallel. 
  • Having good insight into IKEA specifications and test methods and keep them updated on changes in legislation and other external requirements that may influence the product areas.
  • Work with documentation for new product developments as well as with improvements in the running range.

Qualifications

  • Have a university degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in working with product development and/or creation and maintenance of product documentation.
  • Have advantage if you have experience in working with electrics and electronics. 
  • Your knowledge in 3D drawings and SolidWorks will be considered as an added advantage.
  • Work in a structured way with analytical skills and to take the lead in your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have basic supply chain knowledge and are skilled in requirement management and verification planning. 
  • Furthermore, you have strong communication skills and the ability to create confidence and build relations.
  • You are self-motivated and a goal- and delivery-oriented person with a passion for details. 
  • We believe that you are highly committed and self-driven person.
  • IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English both verbal and written.
