Qualifications

  • You have experience of working in retail and preferably in a commercial role.
  • You have at least 3 years of leadership experience and proven record of successful leadership, leading large teams and building effective teams.
  • You have the ability to work through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility and give open and honest feedback.
  • You are business-minded with a clear customer focus.
  • You have the ability to manage a high-volume and vibrant retail environment, being able to work under pressure.
  • You have experience of setting and implementing action plans and providing clear directions and following up goals.
  • You have the ability to think commercially by balancing efficiency, inspiration and profitability.
  • You have the ability to make things happen with flexibility, speed and simplicity.

About the job

The IKEA Delft Store is now looking for a Goods Flow Manager, with flexibility and commitment to lead Inbound and Outbound processes and teams.

Purpose of the function

To contribute to a great meeting with the customer in all sales channels by ensuring a consistently high availability of our offer, with high quality and at lowest possible total cost. Enabling IKEA to become the world’s leading multichannel home furnishing retailer.

In your role you will:

  • Lead and inspire the store goods flow team and work with the store commercial team to secure the highest goods availability and enable customer order fulfilment at the lowest possible cost.
  • Contribute with relevant goods flow input and feedback to the store business plan and logistics action plan. Ensure the agreed logistics actions from the store business plan are implemented in the goods inbound and outbound process.
  • Secure the quality of products and services, merchandising, stock accuracy and customer shopping experience in the store.
  • Secure correct usage of short- and mid-term capacity needs by creating operating capacity through space optimisation using available working methods and routines.
  • Identify, recruit and develop the many talents in the goods flow team to secure succession planning.
  • Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
  • Ensure that the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA code of conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and the environment.
