Inter IKEA Group brings together three core businesses: Franchise, Range and Supply. Together we work constantly to improve the IKEA home furnishing offer and make it more accessible for the many people. 

We are now establishing a new IKEA Shared Data & Technology organization as part of developing our digital capabilities. This organization will be built up together with existing co-workers, recruitments and establishing and developing partnerships over the coming years. About the role

You will join the newly formed Data & Analytics (D&A) team which has the assignment to create value and enable business movements across our end-to-end value chain by bringing data and insights from total IKEA together. This will help us to shape how and what range we are developing, how we supply our products, and how we meet our customers and sell our offer. We want to achieve this by bringing people, processes and technology together. You will be part of this journey and work in the D&A tactical and operational planning team. This is a unique opportunity to renew and improve and work together with colleagues across our value chain to identify and analyse opportunities of how and where data can help our business movements.

As a Business Analyst you will:

  • Be responsible for analysing business needs and identifying requirements for end-to-end use cases and digital products that can be enabled or improved by using data and analytics
  • Support the D&A team and the Network of Expertise (NoE) to engage with stakeholders and support the identification of improvement needs
  • Contribute to testing and quality assurance and follow up implementation according to agreed business requirements
  • Be accountable to document and contribute to keeping track of business needs and requirements for the product or use case
  • Contribute to measuring the requirements fit and the effect on the business goal
  • Support with the definition and validation of functional and technical designs in cooperation with relevant roles
  • Support in the development of learning and communication content
  • Work closely together with partners, peers, business stakeholders other relevant roles product owners, SMEs, process leaders, or architects across IKEA as well as in your team and the D&A NoE

Additionally, you are expected to:

  • Simplify and translate business needs into clear and understandable business requirements and models
  • Challenge collected needs and requirements to maximise business and user value while minimising risks and costs
  • Support in tactical and operational discussions about use case prioritisation, business value and efficiency of initiatives
  • Work across initiatives within the Inter IKEA Group

Qualifications

About you

We’re looking for a team player who enjoys finding simple solutions to complex problems. You’ll embody the principles of working together, sharing competence, are eager to take initiative and driven to achieve results.

We believe that our new colleague has a solid business analysis experience, strong analytical skills as well as experience with working with Data & Analytics products and tools. Comprehensive knowledge about business processes and how they can be enabled by digital technology is the basis for being successful in this role. Moreover, you are familiar with business model canvas, value propositions and storytelling. Knowledge about end-to-end digital product management as well as digital technologies like cloud environments, experience with advanced analytics, data processing, information modelling and visualisation is an advantage.

You should have experience in working in agile and product oriented setups, leveraging continuous ways of working. Furthermore, you should be well acquainted with typical benefits and challenges of working of matrix or network-based organisations. You build trustful relationships through active listening, facilitation and by communicating complex issues in a clear engaging way, building on your high proficiency in spoken and written English.

You have at least 3 years of experience as a business analyst or in a similar role where you have worked in a transforming, multinational organisation. Preferred work experience in retail, product development or supply chain together with advanced skills in MS office tools such as MS PowerPoint and Excel round of your profile.

A few more details for you

This is a fulltime role (40 hours per week) based in Delft, Netherlands, though some travel may be required from time to time (once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted). This position reports to the Data & Analytics Tactical and Operational Planning Manager.
