Company IKEA of Sweden AB has the assignment to determine and develop the IKEA Product Range, including products, packaging solutions and service products. IKEA of Sweden is based in Älmhult – the heart of IKEA and the centre of IKEA range development and supply chain.

About the HR Digitalisation

The HR Digitalisation encompasses several initiatives to strengthen People and Culture processes and tools within Inter IKEA Group, and to build capabilities for us to work more closely together. These capabilities are the foundation for efficient People and Culture processes, supported by high quality and real time data for faster and better decision making.

We are now looking for Functional and Solution Specialists to work with continues rollout of our People and HR Solution Workday.

Your initial assignment will be to enable sustainable IT foundation for People and Culture related topics for our approx. 17 000 co-workers employed in Industry factories. You will work closely with people & culture community based globally and project / solution team members.

You will report to the Co-worker experience manager at Core Business Range.

Job Description

This is a permanent position to support the design, running business and further development of Workday solution for the whole Inter IKEA Group. After initial project: to finalise Workday implementation including all employees in Industry, the assignment will continue to focus on further development and support of Workday.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Being the technical owner of specific functions within the Workday: HCM, Absence or Compensation
  • Together with the colleagues in solution team, own and develop the Core HCM function securing Workday global design to cover any additional country specific requirements
  • Translating business requirements into technical solutions; all the way from identifying a solution to configuration and implementation
  • Running release management for your functions
  • Act as expert support on HR Tech related incidents & requests
  • Keeping up to date with tech trends and innovations


We believe you are driven, efficient and structured solution specialist. You have previously worked with cloud based global HR solutions, preferably Workday, and have knowledge of HR processes.

As a person you are motivated by working in a high -pace organisation where you can deliver results together with your colleagues and when you can enable an excellent employee experience through technology.

It would be a great advantage if you have 3-5 years’ experience of similar position and working with Workday CORE HCM, preferably configuration experience.

In your role as functional and solution specialist you will work with a lot of different stakeholders and great colleagues across the globe, where your ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way will be key.
