We lead the supply agenda across many functions and work together with all business areas, different business units, but also retail markets to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels at lowest total cost.

A year ago, Supply Chain Development (SCD) was created as a new business unit in Core Business Supply and we are on an exciting journey! By gathering the end-to-end supply chain development and innovation agenda into one organization, embedding management and development of processes and digital solutions into the business, we will meet the future with the right competences and business capabilities. By this we will also create the preconditions to a world class supply chain that enable IKEA to efficiently respond to the ever-changing customer needs.

Supply Chain Development shall secure the business objectives in IKEA:s strategic landscape and GS1 standards have been identified as one of the change drivers to enable a connected flow of product information, connecting identifiers with the product-, part- and sales structures. Embracing GS1 will support IKEA to enable traceability, as well as the ability to connect with our many partners across the value chain.

Job Description

As a Identification Manager you will lead IKEA’s development towards the next generation around data backbone, with the product at its core, with transparency and traceability by implementing GS1 (Identification Standard) as a standard across the whole value chain. This is a key initiative and strategic movements on the IKEA digital transformation journey. You will lead the implementation throughout IKEA’s value chain in all 3 core areas: Developing the offer, Supplying the offer and Selling the offer.

As a Identification manager you will, among other assignments:

  • Based on the prework done within the IKEA Product Information Program, take the lead for GS1 implementation throughout IKEA’s value chain across all 3 core areas: Developing the offer, Supplying the offer and Selling the offer
  • Take the lead for the tactical implementation plan across IKEA to manage time, cost, scope and quality
  • In strong collaboration with SCD Data & Technology team and other digital teams in IKEA, secure the needed adjustments on the enterprise architecture and information management  systems, for core business supply other core business range and franchise.
  • Secure a high and stable performance during the rollout in close cooperation with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Set and deliver agreed business goals to secure a high performing organization and a successful implementation
  • Lead the Identification team within Packaging & Identification by example to attract, recruit and develop highly competent and inspired coworkers
  • At any time, act as an ambassador of IKEA values and role model for fact-based business leadership 

Qualifications

You have proven experience and knowledge in:

  • Leading by example and having the ability to bring out the best in your team and the different partners and organisations you collaborate with, this with strong communication and stakeholder management skills to be able to influence development in a global context
  • Leading and implement projects in a global context with a focus on business, product information management or process development
  • Understanding and experience in development of GS1 and good understanding of the numerous opportunities that GS1 will bring to IKEA
  • Proven and experience in global supply chain set-ups and ways of working
  • Project and change management
  • Identifying and capturing business opportunities and deliver results with high sense of urgency

Additional Information

The position is based in Älmhult, Sweden and will require some travelling.
