The Finance & Administration department at IKEA of Sweden has the important role of making sure we are a cost-conscious company; setting the budget frames, taking part in deciding on resource allocation and leading the budget work, cost follow up, forecasting and financial controlling/projects.
Finance & Administration belongs to Steering & Support in IKEA of Sweden AB that hosts several enabling functions such as Finance & Administration, Business Steering, Product Risk & Compliance and Legal. Steering & Support provides insights to different parts of the range organization making the right business decisions and by the services provided connected to our workplace gives us the right preconditions to thrive and deliver at work.
Right now, we are looking for a Finance controller with Project Leading skills who will work closely together with colleagues across the IKEA network!
Job Description
You will be a crucial part of the finance team working as controller/finance navigator with focus on our IT/Digital areas but also leading different projects within the Finance & Administration area. You will manage a wide range of projects within set frames and scope and lead and/or co-ordinate people and tasks within F&A, as well as across different units in IKEA, core business Range.

As mentioned, you will in your role work closely with our Finance team but also with our stakeholders within the organization. You will act as an adviser, sparring partner and support the organization within your area of competence and expertise. Being a Controller in the team means you will ensure the financial processes such as closings, financial performance tracking, financial planning & reporting and financial controls.
You will set up and maintain the financial structures to follow up cost and performance and in that way support decision making. You will perform analysis, review and challenge reported actuals and forecasts and coordinate the budget, forecast and cost follow up of Range including preparation of management reporting.
Qualifications
We are looking for you that are a goal-oriented team player with ability to implement, deliver results and follow up. Leadership capabilities and the ability to create clarity, and strong analytics skills is a must together with a holistic view but also an eye and interest for getting the details right. Through your good communication skills, you build strong partnerships with stakeholders, at all levels of the organization.
You have proven experience and knowledge in:
• Controlling and business analytics (minimum 8-10 years' experience)
• Leading projects in an international context with a focus on finance, business and/or process development and implementation
• Data visualization, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
• Data analytics and creating insights on strategic, tactical and operational level
• Establishing and maintaining good relations and collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
• Good leadership skills and the ability to secure buy-in, realize benefits and deliver business impact.
As a person you are humble, structured, have will-power and the ability to inspire. You share the IKEA values and strive to have them as base in everything you do. You have an academic degree in Finance, economics, business administration or similar and a proven track record of running successful initiatives and projects.
You have knowledge of, and interest in, financial planning and reporting systems and Business information tools like Excel, Power-BI, SAP Analytics or equivalent.
