IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Our office operates in Istanbul as a part of Purchasing & Logistics Area South under IKEA Supply.

Job Description

You will work in a 3-member micro-team with a Business Developer who negotiates prices and take care of the overall commercial relation with the supplier and a Supply Planner who handles logistics. As part of the annual action plan, you will be responsible for the constant improvement of the quality of IKEA products as well as the production process and workflow through quality tools and machine capacity utilization. All with the aim of reducing production inefficiencies, in terms of sustainability and business ethics. You will also perform:

Your assignments:

  • Responsible for Quality Assurance
  • Responsible for supplier development for quality and manufacturing
  • Lead the running range
  • Lead product deviation process with sense of urgency
  • Lead industrialization of minor new product development
  • Secure implementation of new and updated requirements
  • Lead production risk assessments and secure final inspections at suppliers
  • Evaluate potential new supplier’s production facilities and quality systems

Qualifications

Do you have a solid base in manufacturing and quality improvement methodologies in Horticulture? Then this might be a chance for you! For this position, it is important to be a good, empathetic team player respecting the values of others. You are able to prioritize, easily adapt to changes and willing to take responsibility.

We want to you to have:

  • Solid background in Horticulture is a must.
  • Preferably engineering education and at least 4 years of working experience;
  • Good communication skills 
  • Being fluent in English
