Job Description

Supply Planner is responsible for practical delivery planning work for a fixed group of suppliers. He/She acts as a bridge between IKEA and Supplier. Within the team Supply Planner has a common responsibility together with Business Developer and Production Engineer for the fulfilment of the team priorities and goals. His/her part of job is to ensure, that deliveries from suppliers to stores/warehouses go according to delivery plans, system is updated and all involved parties have sufficient information about the status quo. This job demands also a lot of creativity: a lot of today’s solutions within logistic field can be changed for better, more efficient, more simple, faster and cheaper!

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • Ability to take own initiatives and drive the development of a more efficient supply chain set-up
  • Be solution orientated and motivated to develop new and better ways of working
  • Skilled in project management and good at structuring new ways of working
  • Be able to prioritize goals/tasks; monitor and follow them up,
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and ability to build and keep up interpersonal relations with other parties (suppliers, colleagues from own and other groups).
  • Efficient communicator, being clear and simple when communicating with other stakeholders to quickly understand
  • The ability to grasp the limits and opportunities with different systems in the supply chain
  • Very good analytical skills and experience in logistic field,
  • Knowledge of capacity and inventory management,
  • Good knowledge of supply chain logistics including different replenishment and delivery solutions,
  • Knowledge of forecasting systems, security stock, production and transportation lead times,
  • Knowledge of Vendor Managed Replenishment systems is an asset,
  • Active driving license” B” category,
  • Fluent English (written and spoken),
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel),
  • Ability to understand what impact for tomorrow have today’s decisions,
  • Being good team player

For the role, we estimate 25% travel time
