New technology is changing behaviour and the demands for new ways to interact and share real-time insights are essential for continuous growth. IKEA Product Information Management Programme is one part of our digital transformation journey towards creating success for IKEA. The purpose of the programme is to create a connected flow for product information across our value chain to enable business movements supporting IKEA into the future.

GS1 standard has been identified as one of the enablers to realise our ambition of a connected flow of product information, through global identifiers and well-defined structures for identifying, capturing and sharing data. It will support us to connect our product information (including the connected supplying and selling hierarchies), with transactional- and event data. In other words, to connect the physical products and flows with a digital representation of the same on our digital world. This structure will set the foundation for transparency and traceability across IKEA, enabling better ways of working through many of our processes and consequently creating a more relevant customer experience.

In this exciting journey we are now looking for a Project Leader who wants to lead the development of our capabilities working closely together with colleagues across IKEA.

Job Description

In this role you will be leading the development and implementation of capabilities to enable the connection of data across the value chain. As project leader you will be responsible for one or several initiatives to implement parts of the standard. You will work together with a team of experts, BA and solution architects to continuously find better ways of working within the areas of identify capture and share product information. Besides leading an initiative, you will be an ambassador of the GS1 standard, continuously sharing your knowledge, finding opportunities with our business colleagues. You are curios, delivery oriented, and have a strong passion for bringing people together.

Qualifications

You are a team player who is motivated by driving and delivering results together with people and you have a high level of technical competence and insights.

We also believe that you have a combination of the following knowledge and capabilities:

  • Experience of leading projects in a global context with a focus on business, Product Information Management or process development and implementation.
  • Proven track record of running successful initiatives and projects.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to secure buy-in, realise benefits and deliver business impact.
  • You can communicate fluently and effectively in English both writing and speaking
  • You have excellent communication and networking skills
  • You lead and act as a role model with the IKEA Culture and values always in mind in your daily work
