IKEA Components is looking for a Requirement & Design Engineer (RDE) to our great team of Engineers. In this role you are going to work with CAD Design of components or functions, requirement work and test and verification. You are going to work in close cooperation with different stakeholder and colleagues. An important part of your work is to secure that the information in our PLM system and other documents are up to date and correct. And of course – you will have a lot of fun!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have around some years of experience in a role as Development Engineer within Mechanics. It´s good if you have experience from using Solid Works in your work, or other CAD tools as we can consider equal. It’s a merit if you have been working with the materials Polymer, Steel and/or fibre based packaging and having experience from using PLM systems. Furthermore you have basic knowledge within strength calculations (FEA).

As a person you are down to earth, pragmatic solution orientated with a sparkling curiosity that will lead you forward in the unknown. You have the ability to communicate clearly in an open minded way and you know the importance of working with stakeholders, internal as well as external.  IKEA is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and therefore you need to speak and write in English. You know how to make it happen!
