IKEA Supply China (“ISCN”) is the wholesale business unit buying IKEA goods from Suppliers and selling to retailers in Asia Pacific region, comparable to IKEA Supply AG.  As a unit equipped with finance, legal, risk, compensation & benefit, corporate communication specialists, ISCN also provides common/shared services to all Inter IKEA business units and sites in China.

Job Description

Handle centralized parts of the customs process in Asia Pacific and support one or more countries in import/export operations. Ensure efficiency and lower cost in daily operations and secure compliance to country specific rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Your Assignments

  • Daily handling of information and documents to or from other IKEA units, external service providers and authorities to ensure timely, accurate and compliant entry and release from authorities
  • Perform controls, analysis and investigations on operational issues/deviations, follow up on results and develop working methods for handling common issues
  • Collect, distribute and archive customs documents and certificates according to centralized document management working method
  • Maintain and register product master data according to country specific requirements
  • Handle claims for missing and wrong certificates and maintain working methods for certificate claim
  • Secure effective communication with other IKEA units and external parties for establishing and optimizing processes, and contribute to increased customs compliance awareness in IKEA value chain
  • Support local partners in the country customs teams to enable smooth and efficient customs operation
  • Contribute to the development of our systems and working methods to secure compliance and continuous improvements
  • Contribute to reaching your teams and the departments goals according to business plan
  • Secure compliance in every customs and quarantine declaration within given deadline

You have 

  • At least 3 years working experience in import or export or logistics area
  • Good ability to communicate in a clear way
  • Fluent in English (both speaking and writing)
  • Experience of working in different culture is a plus
  • Understanding Korean or Japanese is a plus
