We have started the work to set up the technical services needed to support an IT landscape that will be developed and operated in a hybrid cloud model. Job Description

As Solution Architect, you bring all your knowledge and experience to design and build observability and monitoring solutions that provide business value to our consumers. You will lead the design and translate the business requirements of modern, scalable, and high-performing technical solutions, drive the implementation in the system development life cycle, providing technical recommendations for our production systems and infrastructure.

  • Work closely with high-level design input from our IT Architects.
  • Provide expert knowledge within an international IT marketplace with focus on current market and technology trends.
  • Provide input to the for producing roadmaps for the Monitoring area.
  • Take part in potential problem management activities.
  • Support projects and initiatives in defining enterprise monitoring best practices.
  • Establish common monitoring services for applications/infrastructure services deployed in public cloud.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to:

  • Have solid experience and a strong belief in the IKEA leadership approach.
  • Have a heartfelt understanding of the importance of code standards within an enterprise such as IKEA.
  • Must be well versed with Cloud native operations and Observability concepts.
  • Understanding of IT Observability, metrics, tracing, logs.
  • Can translate business requirements into observability and monitoring solution.
  • Prior experience with instrumenting mission critical services on a globally distributed level, using cloud providers like AZURE, AWS, GCP and more
  • Knowledge of or experience with container orchestrion technologies
  • Experience in working with IT Observability software solution and cloud service.
  • Be curious, eager to find better ways and committed to remove manual work whenever possible.
  • You love to coach, share expertise and empower co-workers from different cultures.
